Klaviyo Integration

Connect Angle to Klaviyo for loyalty-triggered email and SMS flows, credit expiration reminders, and personalized marketing using real-time loyalty data.


Klaviyo is Angle's deepest integration. It connects your loyalty program to your marketing automation — so you can trigger emails and SMS messages based on tier changes, credit earned, credit expiring, and more. Klaviyo also powers receipt capture via two-way SMS.


Connecting Klaviyo

Open Integrations

Open the Angle app in Shopify Admin and click Integrations in the sidebar.

Connect Klaviyo

Find the Klaviyo card and click Connect Klaviyo. Authenticate with your Klaviyo account.

Confirm the connection

Once connected, the status changes to Active. Angle will begin sending events and syncing profile properties immediately.

To disconnect later, return to the Integrations page and click Disconnect.


Event Triggers

Once connected, Angle sends 8 events to Klaviyo. Each event can be used as a flow trigger to send automated emails or SMS messages.

Store Credit Events

Each event includes full customer and transaction data for personalizing every message.


Store Credit Expiration Reminders

The three expiration events create a natural drip sequence that drives redemption before credit expires:

  1. 30 days before — Early awareness: "You have $25 in store credit expiring next month"
  2. 7 days before — Urgency builds: "Your $25 credit expires in one week"
  3. 24 hours before — Final push: "Last chance — your $25 credit expires tomorrow"
💡

Reminders only fire for credits that still have a remaining balance. If the customer already used the credit, no reminder is sent.


Custom Profile Properties

Angle syncs 8 custom properties to every Klaviyo profile. These update in real time and can be used for dynamic content, segmentation, and flow conditions.

All property names are prefixed with Angle so they're easy to find in the Klaviyo profile property picker. Search "Angle" to see all eight at once.


Build these five flows before launching your program — they cover the full customer loyalty lifecycle.


Every customer has a unique wallet pass download URL synced to their Klaviyo profile as the Angle Wallet Pass Link property. Insert this property into any email or SMS to create a "Download Your Wallet Pass" CTA — no manual URL construction needed.

This is especially effective in welcome flows and post-purchase emails — prompting customers to install their pass while engagement is high.


Two-Way SMS (Receipt Capture)

Klaviyo's two-way SMS infrastructure also powers Angle's receipt capture feature. Customers text photos of off-platform receipts to a dedicated number, and staff review them to allocate qualifying spend. See Receipt Capture for details.


Best Practices

  • Build all five flows before launching — welcome, tier upgrade, credit earned, expiration reminders, and win-back cover the full lifecycle
  • Use profile properties for segmentation — create Klaviyo segments based on Angle Program Tier Name, Angle Store Credit Balance, or Angle Status to target loyalty-specific audiences
  • Personalize with real dollar amounts — "$25 in store credit" is more compelling than "rewards available"
  • Test event delivery by enrolling a test customer and verifying events appear in Klaviyo's activity feed for that profile
