Event Tickets
Use Angle's wallet pass infrastructure for branded event ticketing with QR check-in and real-time push notifications.
Event Tickets
Angle uses its wallet pass infrastructure to power branded event ticketing. Event tickets are distributed as Apple and Google Wallet passes with event-specific branding, QR codes for check-in, and real-time push notifications during the event.
How Event Tickets Work
Event tickets are a specialized use of Angle's wallet pass system. Each ticket is a branded wallet pass that includes:
- Event name, date, time, and venue — displayed prominently on the pass
- Brand logo and branding — consistent with your program's visual identity
- QR code — staff scan at event entry for check-in
- Push notification capability — send real-time messages to attendees during the event
Example
Silver Oak's Release Day ticket displays:
- "2021 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon RELEASE DAY"
- "February 7, 2026, 10:00am - 12:30pm"
- "Oakville, CA — 915 Oakville Cross Rd"
- Brand logo and event-specific design
Distributing Event Tickets
Event tickets are distributed through hosted download pages at share.anglehq.com. Each page includes:
- Add to Apple Wallet button
- Add to Google Wallet button
Share the download page URL via email, SMS, or any channel to get tickets into attendees' wallets.
Event Manager (Push Notification Console)
A separate web interface at share.anglehq.com/event-manager lets you send real-time push notifications to event attendees.
Features
- Event status indicator — Shows whether the event is currently active
- Time slot groups — Organize attendees by session (e.g., "TOS Morning 10:00am–12:30pm", "GA Afternoon 2:00pm–4:30pm")
- Message field — Compose the push notification message
- Send notification button — Delivers the push to all attendees in the selected group
Why Time Slot Groups Matter
Many events run multiple sessions throughout the day. Time slot groups let you send targeted notifications only to attendees in a specific session — rather than blasting everyone. This is particularly valuable for:
- Wine tasting events with morning and afternoon sessions
- Release days with scheduled time slots
- Multi-day events where different groups attend on different days
Use Cases
Event ticketing is especially valuable for wine brands (release events, harvest parties, tasting experiences), outdoor brands (demo days, trail events), and any brand hosting member-exclusive experiences that tie into the loyalty program.
The event ticket connects the physical event experience to the digital loyalty profile — attendees aren't just visitors, they're identified members whose participation can inform tier status and reward decisions.
